Communication with your customers is key to your business success. Any
potential opportunity to communicate your message to them that is left
unexplored is an opportunity wasted.
Announcements plugin enables site administrators to place messages on users' My Account page.
You can use this to welcome new members, promote special offers, keep
members up to date on site changes and improvements, business building
tips, etc etc.
Announcements can be added, edited, and deleted via the site's admin area.
Announcements can be temporarily hidden from members, as well as being shown only to members with a high enough membership - useful for offering Premium members special deals that are not available to lower level members.
Members can mark messages as "Read" - at which point they will be hidden on future visits.
Any announcements can be marked "As New" by the site admin, overiding the member's "Read" setting. Useful for when an announcement has been updated.
The mod adds a "User Welcome!" message to the database to get you started.
